Organised Rides
If you are keen to cycle with others in and around the borough, the chances are there’s a led ride for you in this section.
Women on Wheels - 2024!
The ride is a great opportunity to gain confidence on your bike in a fun and sociable environment. Led by qualified Sutton Council cycling instructors, the ride lasts for two to three hours and takes place in quieter routes at a leisurely pace. It includes a refreshment break.
Sutton Rides meets at 10am outside the Honeywood Tearooms & Museum, Honeywood Walk, Carshalton SM5 3NX.
Registration and pre-booking is required.

Before you join a ride, you must have the following control skills:
- set off
- cover brake levers and pedal using gears (if present) while looking up and ahead
- look around to identify and avoid hazards while pedalling
- turn left and right at different speeds
- look behind
- slow down and stop
