Quality Assurance
The Quality Assurance, Safeguarding and Reviewing team consists of Child Protection Chairs, Independent Reviewing Officers and the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO).
The QA team is responsible for child protection conferences, independent reviews of children in our care, annual reviews of foster carers and managing safeguarding allegations against staff.
The service works in partnership with our frontline teams to ensure children and families receive better outcomes.
Local Safeguarding Children Partnership (LSCP)
The role of the Sutton Local Safeguarding Children Partnership is to safeguard and promote the well-being of children and young people.
We do this by promoting and assuring ourselves that there is effective partnership working to keep children safe in Sutton.
Key areas of responsibility include undertaking learning reviews and serious case reviews when appropriate, delivering a multi agency training programme and developing multi agency policy, procedures and protocols.
Learning and Development
Learning and Development lead on the workforce strategy and develop training programmes for social workers (covering children and adult services) and foster carers.
Quality and Performance
Quality and Performance oversee all quality assurance activities across the People Directorate. Monitoring compliance with practice standards and how well the service is meeting outcomes for children and families, the team works closely with the analysts in the Data and Insights team to monitor performance across the Directorate.
