We received planning permission in November 2022 to redevelop the site and build a block of 11 flats. The project is currently under construction and will complete in October 2024.
This is the Council’s first Passivhaus housing development. Passivhaus is a leading international design standard that requires new developments to deliver high standards of comfort and health, while slashing energy use and reducing fuel poverty. This means that fuel bills will be reduced by 44% compared to schemes built to the prevailing building regulation standards.
The finished development will comprise:
- 1 one-bedroom wheelchair adapted flat
- 1 one- bedroom flat
- 9 two-bedroom flats
