Gravestones
Traditional headstone and kerb type or headstone-only type memorials are permitted in size up to a maximum of 3' high x 2'6" wide x 6'6" long. Kerb memorials need a solid landing foundation + 3'6" Epsom bearers.
Maintenance of the grave area can be done by the family.
Cemetery staff offer a paid service on a 1 or 5-year contract basis.
Lawn graves
New graves are only for the Church of England, Roman Catholic, and other denominations.
Option for gravestone permit.
Approved lawn headstone type only, up to a maximum of 3' high x 2'6" wide x 1' long (foundation max 2'6"x1'3"x2"min).
Cemetery maintenance only, no family maintenance permitted, and no further maintenance charge. Donations for upkeep are accepted.
Cremation garden grave (small)
Suitable for one to at least four cremation burials with or without burial urn or casket in a small garden bed grave.
Option for gravestone permit up to a maximum of 2' high x 2' wide x 1' long including foundation.
Maintenance of grave area by family, or by cemetery staff on payment for a 1 or 5-year contract basis.
Cremation garden grave (large)
Suitable for one to twelve or more cremation burials with or without burial urn or casket.
Option for gravestone permit up to a maximum of 3' high x 2'6" wide x 6' 6" long including foundation.
Maintenance of grave area by family or by cemetery staff on payment for a 1 or 5 years contract basis.
Reclaimed or repurchased partly used graves
Sometimes available as traditional or lawn graves for burials or cremation burials. These are graves that have been repurchased or reclaimed to allow the use of remaining unused burial space. These graves are resold with the same rights and conditions as new graves. Previous burials are not disturbed.
